On October 21, 2021, Dr. Furukawa, President and CEO, spoke at the Special Symposium ‘Development of medical devices aiming better clinical outcomes for cancer treatment’ at the 59th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association for Cancer Therapy held at Pacifico Yokohama.
In his lecture, he spoke about the characteristics of proton therapy from a clinical perspective, its future prospects, and the era of proton therapy that B dot Medical is opening up. In the general discussion, he talked about the speed with which startup companies are able to identify customer needs and reflect them in their products, and how the medical industry needs startup companies to take on new challenges.
