Dr. Furukawa received the Encouragement Award from the Accelerator Society of Japan
"Research on Beam Control by RF-KO Slow Extraction Method in a Cancer Therapy Synchrotron"

Started research and development of respiratory gated scanning irradiation system.

Dr. Furukawa received the Chairman's Award of Medical Physics Society Conference
"Development of Raster Scanning System at NIRS-HIMAC"

2010

・Developed high-speed scanning irradiation technology.
・Developed respiratory gated scanning irradiation system.
・Started treatment at Gunma University Heavy Ion Medical Center.

2012

Dr. Furukawa received the Commendation for Science and
Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

[Oct.] Chosen as a business partner of NEDO Technology-based Startup Support Program for Startups in Corporate Alliance.

[Feb.] Received the President's Award at "Japan Venture Awards 2020"
[Mar.] Received the Encouragement Award in the startup category at "1st IP BASE AWARD"
[May.] Obtained the "First class medical devices marketing license"
[Nov.] Headquaters moved from Shinozaki, Tokyo to Funabori, Tokyo, and the area increased by about six times.

[Nov.] The ultra-compact proton therapy system "Phemto®" was approved by the regulatory authority in Japan.
