B dot Medical has launched research and development of non-invasive radiation surgical Systems that Takuji Furukawa, President and CEO of B dot Medical inc., is a principal researcher as of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development(AMED).
B dot Medical has advanced the development of the Ultra-Compact Proton Cancer Therapy System.
This research project is a collaboration between B dot Medical, the National Cancer Center Japan, and Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. using this proton therapy system. And we will develop technology to enable non-invasive radiotherapy, in which a high dose of radiation is spatially and temporally concentrated on a tumor in a short period.
This project is expected to improve the survival rate and QOL for refractory cancers by increasing the local control rate and reducing adverse events to organs at risk.
