On February 23, 2023, the final of the 4th Sta★at Pitch Japan, sponsored by Nikkei Inc. was held, and B dot Medical won the Grand Prix.
Sta★at Pitch is a pitch contest sponsored by NIKKEI for promising startups that are growing up across Japan. This year is the fourth time, the competition aims to stimulate innovation through transformation and co-creation.
This year’s competition attracted more than 500 entries from Japan, and after a block competition in which 123 companies competed, the 22 top companies from the eight block competitions held a final competition.
Takuji Furukawa, President and CEO of B dot Medical, took the stage to make a pitch on the theme of “PROTON for everyone” that we are working on.
At the award ceremony, Furukawa said, “I felt that expectations for cancer treatment are high. It is expected that the manufacturing of advanced medical systems from Japan will spread its wings to the world. Encouraged by this award, we all will do our best”.
All of us are very pleased to receive this Grand Prix award amongst the numerous promising startups.
The comments from the judges made us realize the expectations for our business, and we will accelerate our business even further in the future.
