Dr. Takuji Furukawa, who is a President and CEO in B dot Medical Inc., gave a talk about Development and Quality Assurance of Particle therapy system at International Training Course on Carbon-ion Radiotherapy (ITCCIR 2019) on November 11-16 in National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology.
The total of 60 participants from the institute planning particle therapy system, the institute just started treatment, and vender in worldwide attended the ITCCIR2019. The lectures in ITCCIR2019 include the basic knowledge of charged particle radiotherapy with protons and carbon ions, the rationale for this therapy, the physical and biological aspects, the optimal treatment planning, commissioning procedures, and clinical results of various types of tumors.
